Missions and Objectives of the Teacher Education Network The primary mission of the UNESCO-IICBA's Teacher Education Network (TEN) is to facilitate the sharing of both positive and negative experiences, and also research and development of new knowledge and skills among African teacher education institutions. The Network will be a medium for the development of up-to-date and well-experienced teacher educators in Africa. It is also believed that, through participation in the Network, African teacher education institutions will become competent and effective institutions that employ modern curricula, teaching methods, and information and communication technologies. The missions are intended to be accomplished through the achievement of the following objectives:
